Hmmmm.... I met Tom Franklin at my undergrad university (Susquehanna U.) and was skeptical about anyone actually knowing him (b/c my university was skeptical, ha).

But I really liked Poachers and I'm glad other people are enjoying it.

Tom Franklin is indeed a Downer favorite. 'Hell at the Breech' is one great southern romp of a novel.

Stacie, I can lend you my copy of 'As a Friend'; it's a one night read. You'll dig it, for sure!

this is such a fun idea. i'm going to copy cat both of you sometime soon! with some likely duplicity on titles, but that's a good thing, right? it shows we're listening to each other.

Tom Franklin is much loved around here, for sure. We've handsold more copies of Smonk than what should be legally allowed for Northerners. And I even named my car Evavangeline
